Liz Scott, Assistant District Governor for Rotary District 5040, attended our morning meeting on February 17, 2016 and presented us with a District Grant cheque and added another Paul Harris Pin to the lapel of Richard Megeny.

One perk of being part of a larger organization, Rotary Clubs have access to pooled funds that can be used on community or international projects. The Rotary Club of Pemberton (RCOP) was successful in applying for a District 5040 grant to put towards the Pemberton and Area C Community Center Landscaping project. This project included planting shade trees and the grass maze in Phase 1 and now Phase 2 will complete the Kid's Nature Play Park with the addition of more play and seating features!

District 5040 Assistant District Governor, Liz Scott, presented the cheque to the RCOP President Patricia MacKenzie last Wednesday. Thank you for coming to our little town and spending time with our small but mighty club Liz!

Liz and Pat also presented Richard Megeny with a Paul Harris pin. The Paul Harris awards represent donation milestones to Rotary International (from where District Grants are funded).
